REKHA RANI

REKHA RANI: Rekha Rani is a versatile performing artist, movement practitioner, and choreographer. She has been learning, creating, and researching possibilities in the ecology of performing and interdisciplinary arts for more than a decade. She has been trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Street Jazz, Bollywood, and Moving Alive in India and Europe. She got a scholarship from Netherlands Dans Theater to study and research dance in 2014. She has completed a Certificate Program in Yoga in 2021. She has been shortlisted along with ten performing artists in India for Cultural Partnership Initiative 2021, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, KOFICE, and CID. Rekha's creative urge keeps her developing new and progressive ideas to structure a choreographic work. She uses various tools of interdisciplinary arts to choreograph and compose a work of research. Recently in February 2021, Rekha performed online in a choreographic piece "Beyond Boundaries" for American Center, New Delhi, India.
